  1. University of Idaho

    The University of Idaho is located in the town of Moscow, just north of Lewiston. This university proudly boasts nine academic colleges and a graduate college, and is home to nearly 12,000 students and thousands of staff members. Tours of the campus are available during weekday hours.

  2. Boise River
    The Boise River is a favorite locale on hot summer days. You can get in your inner tube, raft, canoe or kayak in Barber Park just east of Boise, and begin a five-mile float trip to Ann Morrison Park in the heart of the city. The trip provides a variety of unique scenery, both urban and rural.

    The city of Idaho Falls enjoys mild weather most of the year, with temperatures averaging in the mid-80s during the summer. The seasonal sunny skies and warm days provide an awesome setting for hiking, biking, boating and horseback riding in the area. You may find the winters a little too cold for some of these activities, so plan ahead for skiing and snowmobiling adventures.

    Bogus Basin Mountain is located 16 miles north of Boise and features more than 2,600 acres for skiing and snowboarding. In addition, the mountain is home to two freestyle terrain parks and a tubing hill. Skiing and snowboarding lessons are offered, and equipment rental is available on-site.

    Lake Lowell is part of the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge just southwest of Boise, and offers up a spectacular locale for bird watching.
